Ingredients

1 pound ribeye steak
salt and pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
½ cup unsalted butter
8 whole garlic cloves peeled
fresh rosemary and thyme sprigs

Instructions

Let 1 pound ribeye steak rest for 30 minutes to come to room temperature. salt and pepper to taste.
In a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat 2 tablespoons olive oil. Once it starts to smoke add the steak to the skillet. Sear all sides of the steak until it has a golden-brown crust.
Add ½ cup unsalted butter to the skillet and melt. Add 8 whole garlic cloves and fresh rosemary and thyme sprigs.
Reduce the heat to medium and let the steak cook until it reaches the desired internal temperature. Spoon the butter over the steak while they are cooking.
