Peaches and Cream

Peaches and cream is a simple and refreshing summertime dessert. Ripe peaches lightly sweetened with sugar and vanilla bean paste, then topped with fresh homemade whipped cream. Every summer we make this classic treat that is bursting with sweet peaches and fluffy cream!

Ingredients

3-4 ripe peaches
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla bean paste
1 cup heavy whipping cream chilled
2 tablespoons powdered sugar optional

Instructions

Slice 3-4 ripe peaches into wedges or bite-sized pieces and add to a medium bowl.
Add 2 tablespoons granulated sugar and ½ teaspoon vanilla bean paste. Stir to combine. Cover and set aside for 10-15 minutes, until the peaches are syrupy and the sugar has dissolved.
Add 1 cup heavy whipping cream to a large bowl. If desired, add the 2 tablespoons powdered sugar. Use a hand mixer to beat the cream until very soft peaks form.
Spoon the peaches and the syrup evenly into 4 dishes then top generously with cream. Enjoy immediately.
